Introducing Sugi Health

We are an innovative, data-driven preventative health service dedicated to using science to enhance longevity and optimising individual performance.

We believe in turning data gained from baseline metrics into actionable insights to effectively optimise an individual’s performance goals.

DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) Scan

WHAT WE MEASURE

DEXA is the current gold standard body composition scan that are helpful in understanding your current composition, identify areas of interest and compare yourself against the population mean.

KEY METRICS we watch for include:

  • Segmental Bone Mineral Density

  • Total Body Fat

  • Visceral Adipose Tissue (VAT)

  • Appendicular Lean Mass Index (ALMI)

  • Fat-free Mass Index (FFMI)

ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS

  • Identifying body asymmetries and weaknesses

  • Understand muscle distribution and areas to develop

  • Identify potential bone stress injuries

  • Understanding resting metabolic rate and macros to assist in weight management

Comprehensive Blood Panel

Analysis of your biomarkers will assist us in understanding the status of your nutrition, metabolic health, hormonal balance and cardiovascular endurance.

KEY METRICS we watch for include:

  • Metabolic markers such as Glucose, Cholesterol, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Calcium

  • Hydration status such as Creatine, Electrolytes

  • Hormonal balance (women) such as FSH, LH, Oestrodiol

  • Cardiovascular markers such as Ferritin, Transferrin

ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS

  • Scan baseline nutritional status for deficiencies

  • Ensuring metrics like calcium and Vitamin D are adequate for an endurance athlete

  • For women, intervening in cases of hormonal imbalances that may affect athletic performance

Continuous Glucose Monitoring

Understanding your body’s response to nutrition is import to understand the best fuel your body needs to feel and perform better.

We watch for are continuous blood glucose readings for a period of 14 days.

ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS

Analyse specific food (or food groups) that may adverse impact glucose homeostasis

  • Understand glucose response to fuel to optimise performance
